Last updated: January 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the FlowSEO website (flowseo.co.uk) and any services we provide. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.

FlowSEO is a trading name of [Company Name], registered in England and Wales. "We", "us", and "our" refer to FlowSEO. "You" and "your" refer to the user or client.

2. Website Use

Our website is provided for information about our services and to enable you to contact us. You agree to:

  • Use the website lawfully and responsibly
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
  • Not use the website to distribute malware or harmful content
  • Not scrape or copy content without permission

3. Our Services

FlowSEO provides local search engine optimisation (SEO) services for businesses. Our services are provided subject to a separate Service Agreement which will be provided before any work begins.

Key points about our services:

  • Services are provided on a monthly retainer basis with minimum terms as specified in your agreement
  • We provide clear deliverables each month as outlined in your chosen package
  • Results depend on many factors including competition, your website quality, and market conditions
  • We do not guarantee specific rankings or positions in search results

4. No Ranking Guarantees

Search engine rankings are determined by algorithms controlled by Google and other search engines. While we use best practices and proven strategies, we cannot and do not guarantee:

  • Specific ranking positions for any keyword
  • A particular number of leads or enquiries
  • Inclusion in Google's Map Pack
  • Any specific outcome from our work

Any agency that guarantees specific rankings is being misleading. What we do guarantee is transparent work, clear reporting, and adherence to search engine guidelines.

5. Client Responsibilities

When engaging our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your business and objectives
  • Grant necessary access to your website, Google Business Profile, and other relevant accounts
  • Respond to requests for information or approval in a timely manner
  • Not make changes to your website or GBP that conflict with our work without informing us
  • Pay invoices according to agreed terms

6. Payment Terms

Payment terms will be specified in your Service Agreement. Generally:

  • Services are billed monthly in advance
  • Payment is due within 14 days of invoice date
  • We accept bank transfer and major credit/debit cards
  • Late payments may incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate
  • We reserve the right to suspend services if payment is significantly overdue

7. Minimum Terms and Cancellation

Our packages include minimum commitment periods (typically 3-6 months) because SEO requires time to show results. After the minimum term:

  • Either party may cancel with 30 days' written notice
  • We will complete any work in progress and provide final reporting
  • You retain ownership of all content and assets created for your business

Early termination within the minimum term may require payment of remaining fees as specified in your Service Agreement.

8. Intellectual Property

Content created specifically for your business (e.g., website copy, landing pages) becomes your property upon full payment.

Our proprietary processes, strategies, and internal tools remain our intellectual property.

You grant us permission to mention your business as a client and reference our work (without disclosing confidential details) unless you request otherwise.

9. Confidentiality

We treat all client information as confidential and will not share your business details, strategies, or data with third parties except:

  • Service providers necessary to deliver our work (who are bound by similar confidentiality)
  • As required by law
  • With your explicit consent

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages including lost profits
  • We are not liable for changes made by search engines that affect your rankings
  • We are not liable for actions of third parties including Google

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Third-Party Services

Our work may involve third-party services such as Google Business Profile, directory listings, and hosting providers. We are not responsible for the terms, availability, or policies of these third parties. You are responsible for complying with their terms of service.

12. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us directly. We take all complaints seriously and will respond within 5 working days with our proposed resolution.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated to active clients. Continued use of our website or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
